A North Dakota wedding weekend

This past weekend, we drove from Kansas to North Dakota to celebrate the wedding of Jerry's sister, Jenny. We drove up to ND (all 700 miles EACH WAY) with Jerry's brother, Darren and his wife, Jacey. The four of us had a great time talking and asking deep questions, and then the guys started pheasant spotting and the girls got caught up on some good reading. We made it in 11 hours straight -- with 3 stops lasting no more than 5 minutes each. We were moving fast to make it in time for the rehearsal dinner! Here we are at Jenny and Jon's house, having breakfast the morning of the wedding.

While we were waiting for the wedding pics to start, Jerry decided to "lighten everyone's emotional load" by dressing up and running around as a Santa. He and Darren found some costumes stashed inside one of the church classrooms. They definitely brought smiles to our faces!

We left North Dakota on Saturday evening, and drove through all of South Dakota and into north Nebraska to spend the night. It was dark, foggy, and rainy, and we met up with 4 large deer standing in the middle of the road at different times during the evening. Needless to say, we were glad to get back to Kansas safe and sound on Sunday!!

Congratulations, Jenny and Jon! Enjoy your honeymoon in Montana!

OMGoodness... the Good News camp memories are streaming back to me as I look at these pictures. Jenny looks exactly the same as she did back then too - how is that possible? Congrats to them!

And wow! That was a crazy drive you guys did!!

That's a lot of driving! Looks like you didn't take Grayson--that would have been a long trip for him!
