Happy Mother's Day

Last night, my parents invited Jerry, Grayson, and me, as well as Mom and Dad's best friends, Paul and Kay, over for a Mother's Day dinner. We all had a wonderful time together and as usual, Grayson stole the show. =) We tried (unsuccessfully) for over an hour to get him to take a nap that afternoon, but he decided he didn't need one. Go figure!

Anyway, our time with the Brookses is coming to close as they are moving soon. The friendship that Mom and Dad share with them is priceless. The couples met when Mark and I were two years old -- meaning that they have been good friends for 28 years!! The two families have travelled together, celebrated holidays together, played together, gone to all kinds of plays/sporting events/shows together... the list goes on and on. We grew up with no cousins, but their family was closer to us than typical cousins. We spent endless hours over at their house, and they did the same at ours. We will miss the Brookses sooooo much!
