During our day in Juneau, we had booked an early-morning whale watching excursion. It was beyond amazing. I've never seen anything like it, and Jerry said that it was his favorite part of the trip! We travelled by bus, about 30 minutes away from Juneau (past Sarah Palin's governor's mansion), where we boarded a 2-story whale watching boat. Here we are inside the boat, as it was too windy for a picture outside on the top deck!
Seeing one of many humpback whales -- the light smoky-looking spray is from his blow-hole!
We came upon a family of orca -- better known as killer whales! They got soooo close to our boat!!
Sea lions resting on a buoy -- they're so cute!
After our morning of whale watching, we browsed around downtown Juneau. Grayson wanted to take pictures by all of the animals that we saw. =)
This bear was real... at one time!
I took this picture while standing on our stateroom balcony. There were floatplanes everywhere, and it was so interesting to watch them take off and land on the water.
