Reminiscing with Amy

Last night, Mom and I went to Amy Grant's 20th Anniversary Lead Me On concert. She is truly amazing!! She did not play any song that was recorded AFTER 1988, so these were some truly goldy-oldie Christian songs. Some of the ones that she played were: El Shaddai, Stay for Awhile, Angels, Sing Your Praise to the Lord, 1974, Lead Me On, and My Father's Eyes. Wow... talk about making me feel old! =)

Several of these songs were songs that we sang in our church's middle/high school choir that always met on Wednesday nights after youth group. Sitting there listening to Amy reminded me of some of those fun memories... Were these songs really recorded over 20 years ago??

Amy brought an additional 8 band members with her, so it was a rockin' time! The majority of them had all toured with her, starting in the '80s, and two of them now are band members with Faith Hill and Keith Urban. It was so cool to see how they were able to take off 2 months with their current jobs, and tour with her.

No kidding Lindsey! We need to check that out!

Jules, just reading your post made me think of being at camp in the summers. I love how a song can take you back...
