Tigers and chopsticks

Yesterday we went to the zoo! There is a new tiger exhibit... so cool! Here's Grayson (who brought a tiger from home) sitting with a chimpanzee.

The tigers were sooooo cool! We got there just in time to watch the zookeepers feed them! They held long sticks with horse meat (gross!) on the ends, and the tigers ate the meat right off! It was the first time we had ever been so close to these creatures. They were amazing, beautiful, and a little bit scary!

This is one of the female tigers... the zookeepers gave her a command to "roll over"... then they gave her the meat. The other female tiger didn't want to come out of her indoor cage, and the zookeepers said that no one was brave enough to make her come out. =) Can't say I blame them!

After the zoo, we went to one of our new favorite restaurants, Pei Wei. It's on the west side, so it works out perfectly to go there after the zoo. It's so yummy, and Grayson loves to use his chopsticks when we're there!
What a fun day! Thanks to my mom for being our photographer... I always forget my camera at the worst times. =) It was wonderful to have help taking BOTH the boys to the zoo!
